Gay Seniors 50 and Older Meetups (International)

LGBT Housing & Communities

LGBTQIA+ Senior Housing Options - Excellent resource for people in the U.S.A.

Nursing Home Abuse Center - LGBT - There are approximately 3 million LGBT seniors over the age of 65, and this number is projected to double by 2030. And sadly, as more LGBT community members come out, there are more abuse cases being reported especially within the senior community. Of particular concern is housing discrimination, both in terms of access to housing and the treatment they receive once there. Access to safe and equal-opportunity housing is a fundamental right, but in practice, LGBT members face larger obstacles in finding comfortable living situations.

Ontario Seniors Secretariat - works to improve the quality of life for Ontario’s seniors by advising on and developing policies and programs that meet the needs of seniors and help them lead active, healthy and dignified lives, and maintaining close working relationships with seniors organizations across the province.

Prime Timers Toronto - is a diverse group of gay and bisexual men over forty who gather in a supportive atmosphere to enjoy social, educational and recreational activities.

SAGE U.S.A - Advocacy & Services for LGBT Elders - We refuse to be invisible!

Senior Living Options For LGBTQIA Adults - includes Financial Assistance, What to Look For Checklist and  more - good resource

Senior Peoples' Resources in North Toronto (SPRINT) - is an LGBT-inclusive non-profit agency which provides practical and affordable services to help older adults (55+) and adults with disabilities live at home safely and as independently as possible.

Sunshine Centres for Seniors in Toronto - is an LGBT-inclusive charity which seeks out isolated and frail seniors who are at risk for depression and need to be connected to a supportive community. Through the contacts and friendships seniors develop at Camp Sunshine, they form meaningful relationships which will enhance their quality of life and allow them to contribute to others.

The 519 Church Street (Toronto) Community Centre Older LGBT Programs & Services - provides people with opportunities to make deeper connections with their peers by socializing and learning through special events, guest speakers and promoting related community resources.
