Gay AND Christian? Yes! It IS Possible! A Beginner’s Guide

by Mary Pearson

God is perfect.  People are not.
This article (small book) will explain how incorrect translations, misinterpretation and misunderstanding of the Original Scriptures have lead to unjustified prejudice against gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender, and intersex people.
No disrespect for God or God's Holy Word is meant or implied by this booklet. The Bible is the foundation of my faith in Jesus Christ, and my intention is to honour Scripture with ACCURATE information, and through that information to explain that God's love is for ALL.

Is Gay Prejudice Taught in the Bible?

by Richard Wayne Garganta - 32 pages

Do you want to believe what is written or what you have been taught is written?

One way to define spiritual maturity is when you can study differing doctrinal viewpoints enough to understand how people arrive at their conclusions. You may not agree with their conclusions, but at least you have studied it with enough objectivity to understand how they arrived at their conclusions.

Gay is OK via the Bible, because Jesus

Gay is OK via the Bible, because Jesus is a 16 page FREE downloadable book by Tom Minkler.

If you are a Christian who wants to favor LOVE over judgment and support gay marriage, it is easy - in fact the Bible taken as a whole actually demands that, because it all points to Jesus (as the way to know God). Homosexuality can be a test, as it speaks to our basic core as humans, and our devotion to God and what Jesus did for us (so what do we need to do for them), and it’s hard to compare it to anything else. I first wrote this to be a short, simple document that gave an overview of Christian acceptance, but since everything is connected to everything it became more comprehensive.

“Homosexuality” and “Heterosexuality” aren’t referring mainly to sexual actions, they refer to romantic love, which is then expressed physically.

Regardless of what anyone believes, Jesus never says it’s OK to force others to believe or obey anything by force of law or government. The “founding father s” based our government on the FREE WILL God gave everyone. And that includes accepting other people’s right to it.

I’m Gay and It’s OK by Rev. John Brown

I'm Gay and It's OK is a 50 page FREE downloadable book.

Rev John Brown clarifies what the Bible actually says about homosexuality, and he deals specifically with the "clobber verses" used by many against gays. He explains the history of the church's views on homosexuality and how, for almost the first 400 years of church history, they had no problem with it, but then gradually changed.

He hopes to answer your questions, leading to reconciliation of your faith and sexual identity. It is the beginning of a different way of looking at, and understanding the Bible and God.

John's desire is for people to know the truth, get free, and become all that God made them to be.

Elementary & Secondary School Resources for Inclusive Education

I am blessed to live in Canada where gay marriage has been legal for many years. I am further blessed that gay marriage was just the beginning, and now I am seeing advancements taking place in our elementary and secondary school systems to actively teach both staff and students about the respect that every individual and family deserves.

Literature has been compiled and laws have been passed to assure a healthy society which respects diversity of all kinds.

Specifically I am pleased that I was granted permission to make available to you the resources that are available to us.

Equity and Inclusive Eduation StrategyOntario's Equity and Inclusive Education Strategy (34 pages)

Embracing diversity and moving beyond tolerance to acceptance and respect will help us reach our goal of making Ontario's education system the most inclusive in the world. We believe - and research confirms - that students who feel welcome and accepted in their schools are more likely to succeed academically. We believe that everyone in our publicly funded education system - regardless of background or personal circumstances - must be welcomed and accepted, and thereby enabled to reach their highest potential.
